We are a charity based in Ardrossan, providing a safe place for the community in Ardrossan, Saltcoats & Stevenston (and surrounding areas) to meet, socialise, and participate in various social activities. Our organization was formed when the local Men’s Shed and the She Shed united under one umbrella, creating the Three Towns Community Shed. We welcome anyone to join us, free of charge, and ensure all our activities are as accessible as possible. Our community thrives on the voluntary contributions of our members, both in participation and organizational roles, and we are always on the lookout for new members, including those interested in committee roles or administrative support.

The She Shed, established in early 2023, focuses on promoting women’s health and well-being while combating loneliness. Women aged 16 and over are welcome to join us for fun, advice, and much more. The group mainly meets in the evenings and engages in activities such as crafting, refurbishing donated items, and learning new skills. Our kettle is always on, and the She Shed offers a supportive environment where women can connect, learn, and thrive together.

The Men’s Shed offers a wide range of activities for members to engage in, including woodworking with a CNC wood carving machine, metalworking, bicycle refurbishment/repair, model building, and participating in photography and music groups. Over the past two years, we have relocated to our new premises at Castle Works on Hill St, Ardrossan although our accommodation is currently on a month-to-month basis. Despite the limitations of our current space, we continue to support our members and the wider community through various projects and entertainment provided by our music group, particularly in local care homes.

“The She Shed has been a gift for me from the start. I love being able to share my hobbies with others and also learn different things. It’s a really great group to be involved in and we are all there for each other.”

“You have given me back my dad and given him back his life.”

In Memory of Peter Harvey

On our homepage, you’ll see a gentleman featured on the left side – his name is Peter Harvey, one of the early Trustees of the 3 Towns Community Shed. He sadly passed away earlier this year, but his impact and contributions have served as a guiding light for us. This photo is a meaningful tribute to his legacy.
