For Members
Our She Shed
Our She Shed regularly meets in our Glasgow Street premise, mostly in the evenings. We enjoy sharing experiences with each other as well as learning new skills and being there for those struggling with loneliness or health issues. We always have a copious amount of tea and cake. We hold a wide range of events and nights out, from mocktail nights to glass decoration to even having psychics come or having trips out.
Our Men’s Shed
The Men’s Shed offers a wide range of activities for members to engage in, including woodworking with a CNC wood carving machine, metalworking, bicycle refurbishment/repair, model building, and participating in photography and music groups. Over the past two years, we have relocated to new premises at 11 Glasow Street, although our accommodation is currently on a month-to-month basis. Despite the limitations of our current space, we continue to support our members and the wider community through various projects and entertainment provided by our music group, particularly in local care homes.
For the Community
Wedding Arch for Hire
One of our Men’s Shed members, Sanny Campbell, has created a wedding arch which can be hired by people in the community for weddings. If you’d like to hire this for your ceremony, contact the Men’s Shed through Facebook, email, text or pop in on when we’re open.
Working in the Community
We’re always looking to engage with other groups. Our music group has recently started holding concerts at local care homes which has went particularly well. One of our most successful and proudest partnerships is with TTK Phoenix 2011 FC, a football club for young athletes born in 2011 which we sponsor. If you are interested in working with us or have a collaborative idea you think we’d be interested in, please reach out to us.

“We are blown away at the generosity and kindness! This is a massive step forward to our boys playing football again, an emotional rollercoaster of feelings and mixture of nerves and excitement are taking over.“
